Build Your Future Here – Skilled Jobs, No Debt, Real Opportunity! In the immigrant heart of District 137 – Gulfton, Sharpstown, and Westchase – hardworking families from over 80 nationalities are chasing the American Dream. You deserve real pathways to economic dignity, not low-wage gigs or crushing student debt.
That’s why I will fight to bring debt-free job training directly into our community colleges, high schools, and adult vocational programs. Texas voters just approved $850 million in November 2025 to expand Texas State Technical College and workforce education – I’ll make sure District 137 gets its full share for hands-on programs in welding, HVAC, manufacturing, electrical, plumbing, and more.
No loans. No excuses. Just skills that pay off from day one.
We’re already seeing the results of a manufacturing resurgence right here in greater Houston:
– Apple’s $600 billion U.S. investment → New 250,000-sq-ft AI server factory opening in Houston in 2026, creating thousands of skilled jobs by bringing production back from overseas.
– Foxconn’s $450 million AI server plant at Fairbanks Logistics Park → 600 direct jobs, $920 million economic impact, and mass production of Blackwell chips starting 2025 with Ndvidia.
– Tesla’s $200 million battery plant in Brookshire → 1,500 new skilled roles by 2028, powering clean energy and family-sustaining wages.
I’ll keep pushing for fair trade deals, strategic tariffs that protect American workers, and policies that attract even more industrial investment to our area.
In District 137, your next career in the skilled trades starts with higher pay, zero debt, and endless pride. Let’s make our neighborhoods the launch pad for the next generation of American builders and makers.
Your family’s safety is the foundation of everything: faith, opportunity, and the American Dream. In Gulfton, Sharpstown, and Westchase – home to over 80 nationalities and more than 50 languages – our streets must be safe for kids walking to school, parents coming home from work, and seniors enjoying their evenings. Safety isn’t optional. It’s non-negotiable. I will deliver tough, smart action to reclaim our neighborhoods:
– Support laws that bring real consequences for repeat offenders and gang activity
– Support for proven community-policing and youth diversion programs that prevent crime before it starts
– Remove Gulton and Shaprstown as the most dangerous neighborhoods in Houston and the country.
We honor the diversity that makes District 137 special while demanding the safety every family deserves.
For too long, Southwest Houston families have opened their doors to find floodwater instead of opportunity. Robindell, Gulfton, Sharpstown, and Westwood have waited decades while 2018 Flood bond projects remain unfinished.
At the same time, the 71-year-old East Water Purification Plant — the one that puts water in 75% of our faucets, including every home in HD 137 — is literally crumbling, with engineers warning of catastrophic failure that could leave millions without safe drinking water and shut down our hospitals, refineries, and port. Houston says it needs $4–6 billion to replace it, but the city is staring at a $300 million deficit.
When I get to Austin, I will deliver: full state funding to finish Project Brays and every flood-protection project that shields District 137; $2–3 billion from the Rainy Day Fund and the Texas Water Fund to rebuild the East Water Purification Plant before it collapses; zero-interest state loans and grants so working families don’t get crushed by sky-high water bills; mandatory buyouts and elevation grants for homes that flood twice; and resilient power standards that keep our pumps running and our treatment plants online when the next storm hits. No more studies. No more excuses. Just dry streets, clean water, and the reliable infrastructure Southwest Houston was promised long ago.
Vote for Helen Zhou who puts jobs that build legacies and streets you can walk without fear above everything else.
On Election Day, vote for Community Safety, Skilled Trades, and High-Pay Jobs. Vote for a stronger, prouder District 137
